Sunday, September 28 (8 hours travel time)
- Depart from Terminal, with the following pickups available: Terminal, Mansfield, Lawrenceville, Corning, Horseheads, Sayre. Please note: The following pickups are available, but you must call to confirm. We do not stop at all pickup locations, unless people are designated to get on at the pickup locations.
- FULL BREAKFAST is included at Cracker Barrel in Binghamton. Lunch and rest breaks will be made as needed.
- Arrive in Laconia, NH and check in to the NASWA RESORT, situated on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee and family-owned since 1936. Monday, September 29
- FULL BREAKFAST is included at the resort.
- Depart for Canterbury, NH
- Take part in a GUIDED TOUR of CANTERBURY SHAKER VILLAGE, where Shakers devoted "hands to work, hearts to God." You will be introduced to Shaker worship, work and education, as you tour the Meetinghouse, the Laundry and the Schoolhouse. After the tour, stroll the serene grounds, visit additional buildings, observe craftsmen recreating traditional Shaker objects, and shop at the museum store.
- Enjoy a BOXED LUNCH before departing.
- Relax on a NARRATED CRUISE ON SQUAM LAKE and experience the magic of "Golden Pond." Hear the stories of the natural forces that created these lakes, observe the beauty of the Loons and Bald Eagles, and view the cottage and cove where "On Golden Pond" was filmed. This is a 90-minute ride on a pontoon style boat
- Return to the resort to enjoy the hotel’s lakefront location.
- Tonight, enjoy a BEACHSIDE BBQ at NASWA, followed by a BEACH FIRE and S’MORES following (weather permitting)!
Tuesday, September 30
- FULL BREAKFAST is included at the resort.
- Depart from the resort with your LOCAL GUIDE for a full day of touring the magnificent WHITE MOUNTAINS!
- Arrive at the Cog Railway to begin boarding.
- "ALL ABOARD" the COG RAILWAY for a 3-HOUR ROUNDTRIP TRAIN RIDE to the peak of Mount Washington – the highest peak in the Northeast! Enjoy 20 minutes at the peak to visit the MILE-HIGH STATE PARK, the OBSERVATION CENTER and view the SPECTACULAR SCENERY!
- A BUFFET LUNCH and SELF-GUIDED TOUR is included at the magnificent MOUNT WASHINGTON HOTEL, one of the last surviving grand hotels in the White Mountains. The hotel has been designated a National Historic Landmark. Famous guests have included Winston Churchill, Babe Ruth, and several U.S. Presidents!
- Arrive at BRETTON WOODS BASE LODGE for a SCENIC GONDOLA RIDE. Enjoy wonderful views at the peak of the mountain.
- Continue along our tour across the KANCAMAGUS HIGHWAY, one of New England’s most scenic routes!
- DINNER is included at the resort this evening.
Wednesday, October 1
- FULL BREAKFAST is included at the resort.
- A LOCAL GUIDE, will join us for a GUIDED TOUR of the LAKES REGION.
- Enjoy a relaxing and scenic ONE-WAY CRUISE across Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire’s largest lake, to Wolfeboro on the MS MOUNT WASHINGTON.
- Enjoy FREE TIME for lunch and shopping on your own in the charming lakeside resort town of Wolfeboro.
- Depart Wolfeboro.
- A stop will be made at the OLD COUNTRYSTORE AND MUSEUM, one of the oldest in the country, dating from 1781! You will be amazed at the array of items: barrel-aged molasses, penny candy, maple products, wrought iron and brass hardware, kitchen products, John Deere collectibles and more!
- Tonight, it’s "ALL ABOARD" the WINNIPESAUKEE SCENIC RAILROAD for a fun ride along the lake, including a casual and delicious CARVED TURKEY DINNER! Your dinner will include Roasted Turkey, Potato and Gravy, Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, Roll, Vegetable, Beverage, and Dessert. Ride is approximately 2 hours.
- Return to the resort following the train ride.
Thursday, October 2 (8 hours travel time)
- FULL BREAKFAST is included at the resort.
- Check out and depart for home, with wonderful memories of your New Hampshire vacation!
- Lunch and rest breaks will be made en route.
- Return to Wellsboro, with wonderful memories of your vacation!
